Process of Devotional Service: Vandanaṁ (Praying)
Devotee Who Attained Perfection Through This Process: Akrūra
By adopting only one of these nine principles, the following renowned devotees of the Lord were able to achieve the highest perfection: …. (3) By praying to the Lord, Akrūra attained the desired result.

As Nityananda spoke, they went to Jannagara where they saw the enchanting hermitage of Jahnu Muni. Nityananda Prabhu explained, “This enchanting place named Jahnudvipa is known as Bhadravana. At this place, Jahnu Muni underwent penances and received darsana of the golden form of Gauranga.”

Gopīnātha Siṁha, the thirty-eighth branch of the tree, was a faithful servant of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu. The Lord jokingly addressed him as Akrūra.

I pray that birth after birth I may be a clump of grass in the land of Jahnudvipa, which is worshiped even by the king of the demigods. That would be my joy.
