Perfect Questions, Perfect Answers (1972-2022)
On this day, March 2, 2022, His Holiness Jayapataka Swami and His Grace Ambarisa Prabhu unveiled this “Perfect Questions, Perfect Answers” plaque for the pleasure of ISKCON’s Founder- Acarya, His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. This plaque commemorates the 50th anniversary of an iconic and widely published conversation with His Divine Grace, recorded in this bhajana kutira from February 27 through 29, 1972. A 22-year-old American Peace Corps worker and high school science teacher named Bob Cohen, in search of true spirituality, had traveled to Śrīdhama Mayapura and met Srila Prabhupada. The exchange of questions and answers that ensued led to Bob’s accepting Srila Prabhupada as his eternal spiritual master and being initiated as Brahmatirtha Dasa. The conversation was first published as a small paperback by the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust in 1977. Śrila Prabhupada personally named this book “Perfect Questions, Perfect Answers.” Millions of copies of this small book have been distributed in over fifty languages, and it continues to be distributed by ISKCON devotees worldwide. Thus, Srila Prabhupada’s perfect answers to questions about life’s most important concerns have reached millions of sincere spiritual seekers around the world.
